On Thursday, August 25th 2025, TRUF.NETWORK released the documentation for installation of a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server alongside the TRUF node. The Model Context Protocol, developed by Anthropic, the makers of the Claude family of Large Language Models (LLM), has quickly become the standard for connecting AI with data.

“The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard for connecting language models to external tools and data. MCP enables developers to build agents and applications that can interact with the world, orchestrate complex workflows, and access up-to-date information.”

TRUF.NETWORK developed and maintains a custom fork of the popular Postgres MCP Pro Server that opens up exciting new capabilities for interacting with TRUF.NETWORK’s real-time economic data feeds. Choose from over 70 compatible clients that can connect to the TRUF.NETWORK MCP server.

As a distributed ledger (“blockchain”) network leveraging a PostgreSQL database, TRUF.NETWORK is particularly well-suited for AI integration. There are decades of online discussion relating to SQL and millions of sample SQL queries in the public internet data on which popular LLM’s have been trained. Your AI agent is already a SQL master, so integrating with the TRUF.NETWORK database makes perfect sense. The published documentation is for use with Claude and the resulting interactions speak for themselves.
