Great news for our community - we successfully captured today’s wallet snapshot at 10:00AM UTC, Tuesday 29 Oct. If you’re holding TRUF tokens, you’re already set for the migration process.

What this means for you:

Your tokens are safely recorded
The claim portal will migrate you across with a smooth, straightforward process

If a wallet address is not on the whitelist, the user won’t be able to claim tokens.

Migration Success

Staking

If your TRUF tokens are staked, you will still need to migrate the tokens. Please note that rewards are paused during the migration. They will be boosted afterward as a gesture of appreciation to loyal community members. No new rewards will be issued until the staking campaign is completed, however, we will bump up rewards post-migration to make up for this loss and as a thank-you to our loyal community.

Please only use our official website, do not click on any suspicious links. There are a lot of scammers trying to capitalize on users’ trust, so please be vigilant. The following information about the whitelisted entity will be stored in the claim contract:

Wallet address. The address of the token holder that had a certain balance during snapshot time. Wallet addresses will be verified using a signature.
New token amount. The amount of new tokens to be received by the user after migration.

TRUF.Network Migration FAQ

Why is TRUF.Network migrating TRUF tokens?
This decision was made to mitigate the effects of a recent attack on TRUF.Network’s multi-sig wallets. By migrating tokens, the stolen funds will become unusable for the hacker, protecting the community and stakeholders.
What is the new official contract address:

How will the migration process work?
Eligible users will need to access the migration portal to migrate their tokens. Only whitelisted wallet addresses, which were part of the snapshot taken at a specific time, will be able to claim new tokens. The whitelist balances will be based on the snapshot. This is only for Ethereum, not Base or Arbitrum.
What are the steps to migrate my new tokens?
a. Visit https://token.truf.network/migration (do not trust or click any unofficial links)
b. Connect your wallet via Metamask
c. View your wallet’s old token holdings
d. If eligible for migration, execute the token migration
e. If you encounter any issues, visit the official Discord for support (avoid sharing sensitive information like seed phrases or secret keys)
What if I have my tokens staked?
If your TRUF tokens are staked, no further action is required. You will still need to migrate and please note that rewards are paused during the migration. They will be boosted afterward as a gesture of appreciation to loyal community members.
How will the whitelist work?
The whitelist will store the following:
- Wallet address: The address will be from the snapshot, which will determine who will be eligible for migration.
- New token amount: The new token allocation is based on the snapshot.
How will this redistribution affect the hacker?
The token redistribution renders the stolen tokens worthless by preventing the hacker from accessing or using them, protecting the community from potential damage.
Were any user funds compromised during the attack?
No user funds were compromised. The attack only affected TRUF.Network’s multi-sig wallets, and the team is working closely with cybersecurity experts and law enforcement to investigate the matter.
What should I do if I encounter issues during the migration?
If you face any problems, you can open a support ticket on the official TRUF.Network Discord. Remember, the TRUF.Network team will never ask for your seed phrase or secret keys. This is only for Ethereum, not Base or Arbitrum.
What actions are required to migrate my tokens?
Follow the instructions provided on the migration blog post. Step-by-step guidance and a video tutorial will walk you through the process, from connecting your wallet to executing the migration. You can also reference the video tutorial.
What is the new token symbol?
The new token symbol will remain TRUF.
What will happen to the old token?
The old token will be deprecated and rendered inactive. Any value previously associated with the old token will no longer be accessible, and only the new TRUF token will retain active listings and liquidity.
Will listings for TRUF change?
Listings will remain consistent across exchanges. A full list of exchanges where TRUF is available can be found in the whitepaper.
